"I saw another angel coming down from heaven...
and the earth was illuminated with his glory."
Revelation 18:1

Story in the Stars

Interestingly, the Bible says much about the constellations and stars which God has put in place and called by name, and it seems that the story of redemption and the great controversy between good and evil is written in the stars. Knowledge of this is ancient and was likely passed on through the generations since time began on earth (and thus got perverted into astrology, which the Bible warns against). The word "Mazzaroth," below, refers to zodiac/constellations which must be in the sense of God's original purpose for it as picture stories. Job 38:31 "Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, Or loose the belt of Orion? 32 Can you bring out Mazzaroth in its season? Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs? 33 Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth? Isaiah 40:25 "To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?" says the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing. Genesis 1:14 "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.” Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. 3 There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. 4 Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 147:4 He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. 5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. Amos 5:8 "Seek him that maketh the Seven Stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name". The story of the cosmic battle between good and evil is not only written in the Bible, but also written in the stars...
